Although the Battle of Myriokephalon is one of the most well-known battle in the Turkish history, has always been the target of one question: Where is the location of the Battle of Myriokephalon? Since W. Ramsay, nearly all of the historians who have been interested in the Seljuk history have discussed this matter. For example, while W. Ramsay who firstly dwelled on the Düzbel Pass, then indicated a place between Limnai and Gondani, A. Çay who wrote a Ph.D. thesis on the Kilij Arslan II stated Karamıkbeli as a battle site. On the other hand, the other historians indicated Kufi valley nearby Düzbel Pass, Popa Gorge leading to Uluborlu, and Bağırsak Gorge which is 50 kilometres away from Konya, the Seljukid capital.
In this paper, we will examine these opinions, and then compare them with the sources which have information about the Battle of Myriokephalon.
