Şehabettin Uzluk mimar öğretmen Hz. Mevlâna Türbe Selçuklu Şaheserleri Türkiye Anıtlar Derneği
Şehabettin Uzluk, descendent of Mevlana family, went to İstanbul and then Germany for architectural education after finished elementary and middle school in Konya. On his returning to Konya; however, he did not work as an architect. Instead, he worked as a German teacher for thirty years. In addition to this, he was in charge of some institutions as a chairmanship such as the headquarters of People's House and Turkey Monuments Association in Konya.
Due to his great respect for Mevlana, Uzluk sacrificed his time to write books, articles, and make presentions about Mevleviyeh spaces and culture, particularly Mevlana and his mausoleum, and on masterpieces of Seljuk era.
In this study, especially referencing Uzluk’s Works titled “Mevlana Mausoleum, Monuments of Konya, Artists of Mevlana, Art in Mevleviyeh and Mevleviyeh in art” it was aimed to focus on points that would make it easier to use his works, the methods that he followed, the objections and criticism he did, the sources he used while he was writing his works on Mevleviyeh culture and preparing his works on Mevlana mausoleum and historical spaces.
