Maksiller Santral Dişteki Kırığın Anterior Anatomik Matris Kullanılarak Direkt Kompozitle Restorasyonu

Year 2023, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 10 - 13, 28.04.2023

Abstract

Restoration of a Maxillary Central Tooth Fracture with Direct Composite Using Anterior Anatomical Matrix

Year 2023, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 10 - 13, 28.04.2023

Abstract

Dental traumatic injuries are one of the most common problems. Fractures, especially in anterior region injuries, cause aesthetic, functional and phonetic problems. Restoration is important for patient psychology. Traditional approaches to the treatment of broken anterior teeth include direct composite restorations and indirect prosthetic restorations. In the treatment of anterior tooth injuries, which are characterized by moderate fractures in the coronal parts of the teeth, where healthy tooth tissue is largely preserved, only the application of direct restorative treatments is sufficient to restore function and aesthetics. Creating anatomically appropriate contours and obtaining biomimetic and aesthetic results can be challenging in such fractures. Providing ideal contact and contour to the restoration is necessary both to maintain gingival health and to obtain an aesthetic result. Modern dentistry should prioritize its approach to a new restorative perspective that includes preserving tooth structure with minimal intervention, optimizing tooth form and function, providing adequate aesthetics and increasing competence in technology and materials sciences. With the newly developed anterior anatomical matrix, it is possible to make a biomimetic and aesthetic direct composite restoration in a short time. The aim of this case report is to present the rehabilitation of tooth number 21, which was fractured as a result of trauma, with direct composite restoration using anterior anatomical matrix.
