Abstract

The most important purpose of our study "Ottomans with the Middle State" written by the Ottoman historian Suraiya Faroqhi in 1985 is to present the cities of Ankara and Kayseri as samples in the description of the elements that make up the city based on the history of the city. The language and style he used while presenting this, while making the work an academic work, also reveals a social history.

Abstract

Osmanlı tarihçisi Suraiya Faroqhi’nin 1985 yılında kaleme aldığı ‘Orta Halli Osmanlılar’ adlı eseri incelememizin en önemli amacı şehir tarihinden yola çıkılarak şehri oluşturan unsurların anlatımında Ankara ve Kayseri şehirlerinin örneklem olarak okuyucuya sunulmasıdır. Bunu sunarken kullandığı dil ve üslub, eseri akademik bir eser yaparken aynı zamanda sosyal bir tarihi ortaya koymaktadır.
