Anxiety can also be defined as a different autonomic version of fear whose causes and time of origin are not exactly known; however, it is consciously felt by individuals and causes different responses such as vomiting, flushing, sweating and trembling depending on the individuals. In this study, it was aimed to examine the trait anxiety level of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences in terms of demographic characteristics: gender, age, department, class level, sports age and income state. The research staff consists of 91 volunteer students, including 48 female and 43 male who study at Düzce University Sport Sciences Faculty. The 6-question “Personal Information Form” and “Trait Anxiety Inventory” which was developed by Spielberger, Gorsuch ve Luschene (1970) and transcribed into Turkish by Öner & Lecompte (1983) were used to determine the level of trait anxiety. The analysis of data obtained was performed by SPSS 22.0 program. In the light of the analysis acquired, no statistically significant difference was found between trait anxiety level and gender, age, department, class level and income state (p>0.05). It was found that there was a significant difference between trait anxiety level and sports age (p<0.05). This result actively showed that increasing sports age might have an impact on the success expectancy of students and it might increase the trait anxiety level as well.
