Randomness, means "being random, being a coincidence". This concept is also among the elements (exaggerated curiosity, randomness, excessive emotionality) that weaken the structuring of the subject in children's literature. The aim of this study, too, is to examine the children book of Cemil Kavukçu's to named "Bir Öykü Yazalım Mı?" in terms of the "randomness". The study was carried out based on the principles of document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. Based on the findings, the randomness situations in the work have been presented in the themes of 1. Randomness in Events, 2. Randomness in Persons, 3. Randomness in Spaces, and 4. Randomness in Time. Based on the findings, it is possible to make the following evaluations about the examined work: During the study of the work, it was observed that the main character of the book often experienced randomness situations in the story writing process. Based on this, it is thought that the randomness situations in the work weaken the structuring of the subject. For this reason, it has been concluded that these randomness situations may negatively affect the credibility of the content in the reader's mind.
