Abstract
One of the biggest problems that the Ottoman Empire experienced in the Eastern Front in the First World War was the typhus epidemic. In the famous battles of the Sarikamish Battles, where one of the most violent scenes of wars with Russia took place and at the beginning of these battles, the epidemic of typhus caused the death of a humanoid person, one of them being killed by hundreds of thousands of doctors. This typhus epidemic was so effective that it caused more casualties than the battles of the Ottoman Third Army, which fought on the Eastern Front. Those who gave their lives from typhus were killed in ten homeland with the soldier, Hafız İsmail Hakkı Pasha, commander of the front and army, and died before typhus.
