Continuous Publication Model

Continuous Publication Model

Effective 1 January 2026, International Crimes and History (ICH) has transitioned from its current periodical publication model to a Continuous Publication Model (CPM).
The Editorial Board has adopted this model to ensure faster article availability and to align the journal with global standards in scholarly publishing. This transition is intended to accelerate the dissemination of research and keep pace with international scientific developments.

Please note that the peer-review and editorial decision processes will remain unchanged.
Under the CPM, accepted articles will be published online as soon as the review and production stages are completed, without waiting for the release date of the physical issue (print ISSN) or any formal issue date (e ISSN)

Below are the definitions and rules for the CP Model:

CP Model
This model is suitable for journals that prefer to publish articles without waiting for an issue release date.

Key Characteristics

*Focus on the Article: The primary principle is article-based publishing, not issue-based publishing.
*Publication Date: The essential date is the article’s publication date. An issue does not have a formal release date.
*Automatic Ordering: Articles are automatically ordered according to their publication date.

Single Active Issue Rule:
**ICH may create multiple issues within the same year at Dergipark.
**Only one issue may remain “Active” at a time.
**To open a new issue, the current active issue must be closed.
**Exception: ICH create and publish a Special Issue even while another issue is active.

Restrictions
*Future Issues, Supplementary Issues, and Early View Issues cannot be created.
*Volume information (Volume field) is not used in this model.
* However, for ICH, the physical (print) edition of each issue will continue to be published in its designated month and year, in accordance with the journal’s policy

Optional Fields
*Page numbers are not mandatory.
*Issue number is not mandatory.
*If left blank, the system will automatically use the current year as the issue identifier.
