One of the most significant factors limiting production efficiency is bottlenecks. Identifying bottlenecks in a production line and implementing improvements at these points can significantly enhance system performance. A bibliometric analysis of postgraduate research on bottlenecks serves as a valuable resource for understanding the trends in scientific studies. This study aims to develop more comprehensive strategies for identifying bottlenecks and to guide future research by reviewing the existing literature. Postgraduate theses published in the Higher Education Council National Thesis Center (YÖKTEZ) archive between 1990 and 2024 were examined and classified based on nine criteria: type, year, university, university type, institute, department, subject, methods, and keywords. The analysis revealed that most studies were at the master's level, with 2021 being the most intensive research year. Quantitative studies were found to be more prevalent than qualitative ones. Simulation was the most used method in this field. The most studied topics were industry and industrial engineering, with Istanbul Technical University producing the highest number of theses and industrial engineering being the most frequently chosen department.

30.03.2021-Beginning with our April 2021 (26/1) issue, in accordance with the new criteria of TR-Dizin, the Declaration of Conflict of Interest and the Declaration of Author Contribution forms fulfilled and signed by all authors are required as well as the Copyright form during the initial submission of the manuscript. Furthermore two new sections, i.e. ‘Conflict of Interest’ and ‘Author Contribution’, should be added to the manuscript. Links of those forms that should be submitted with the initial manuscript can be found in our 'Author Guidelines' and 'Submission Procedure' pages. The manuscript template is also updated. For articles reviewed and accepted for publication in our 2021 and ongoing issues and for articles currently under review process, those forms should also be fulfilled, signed and uploaded to the system by authors.
