Medical Education and Adult Learning

Abstract

The searches in order to find the most appropriate method for the medical education keep on going parallel with the constantly changing world conditions. Appraciating the learning characteristic of the adults studying in medical schools and determination of students' profile would be useful to achieve better results in medical education. In this study, the andragogic learning method which is known as the science and art of aiding for the adult learning has been discussed and the contributions of the acknowlegement of learning characteristics into the medical education has been emphasized.

Tıp Eğitimi ve Yetişkin Öğrenmesi

Abstract

Tıp eğitiminde uygulanacak en doğru yöntemi bulmaya yönelik arayışlar değişen dünya koşullarına paralel olarak sürmektedir. Tıp fakültesinde öğrenim gören yetişkin bireylerin öğrenme özelliklerinin bilinmesi, öğrenci profillerinin belirlenmesi, tıp eğitiminde daha iyiye ulaşma adına faydalar sağlayacaktır. Bu çalışmada, yetişkin bireylerin öğrenmesine yardım etme bilim ve sanatı olarak tanımlanan andragojik öğrenme modelinden bahsedilerek, yetişkinlerin öğrenme özelliklerinin bilinmesinin tıp eğitimine sağlayacağı katkılar vurgulanmaya çalışılmıştır.
