Hospitals Using Music Therapy in Seljuks and Ottomans

Abstract

Music therapy is in accordance with traditional medicine and has its own methods instead of being an alternative treatment method. It has different historical progresses according to the cultures, nations and periods, from being a myth to a treatment method. As itself, the hospitals for music therapy have great importance for treatment. In this paper, the historical progress of music therapy in Turks is mentioned and information about the hospitals that used “music therapy” in Seljukian and Ottoman era is given, as they were the pioneers for architectural design of a hospital in all over the world.

Selçuklu ve Osmanlılarda Müzikle Tedavi Yapılan Hastaneler

Abstract

Müzikle tedavi, alternatif bir tedavi yöntemi olmayıp, geleneksel tıbba uygundur ve kendine ait metotları vardır. Mitten bir tedavi yöntemi olana değin kültürlere, uluslara ve dönemlere göre farklılık gösteren bir tarihsel gelişime sahiptir. Müzikle tedavi yapılan hastaneler de müzikle tedavinin kendisi kadar büyük öneme sahiptir. Bu makalede, günümüzde bilimsel bir tedavi yöntemi olarak kullanılan müzikle tedavinin Türklerdeki tarihsel gelişiminden bahsedilmekte ve tüm dünyada hastane mimarisi tasarımında öncü olan Selçuklu ve Osmanlılar döneminde müzikle tedavi yapılan hastaneler hakkında bilgi verilmektedir.
