Depression and Anxiety in Multiple Sclerosis

Abstract

In this study it's analysed the frequency of the symptoms of anxiety and depression in MS patients, the relation with the duration of disease, EDSS values, numbers of attacks and sociodemographic factors. 50 MS patients were included in the study. The datas of research were collected by using Expanded Disability Status Scala, Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale and Sociodemo-graphic Data Scale.It was seen that sociodemographic factors of MS patients didn't create significant risk in terms of depression and anxiety. Multiple Sklerozda Depresyon ve Anksiyete

Abstract

Bu çalışmamızda Multiple Skleroz (MS) hastalarında depresyon ve anksiyete belirtilerinin sıklığı, Genişletilmiş Özürlülük Durum Skalası (EDSS) değerleri, hastalık süresi, atak sayısı ve sosyodemografik faktörlerle olan ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın araştırma grubunu 50 MS hastası oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri, Genişletilmiş Özürlülük Durum Skalası (EDSS,ExpandedDisabilityStatusScala), Hamilton Anksiyete Derecelendirme Ölçeği (HAM-A), Hamilton depresyon derecelendirme ölçeği (HAM-D) ve sosyodemografik veri ölçeği kullanı-larak toplanmıştır.
