Ovarian Ectopic Pregnancy Following ICSI-ET: A Case Report

Abstract

Ovarian pregnancy develops in every 7000-16000 conceptus that occurs naturally and this corresponds to 1-3% of all ectopic pregnancies. Ovarian ectopic pregnancy develops when an ovum fertilized in the ovary or a fertilized ovum is implanted secondarily in theovary. The ovarian ectopic pregnancy after assisted reproduction techniques develops when the embryo is implanted secondarily in the ovary. The reasons of this implantation are the actual implantation embryo transfer is not made by the ultrasound-guided, the embryo transferred to the depth of the uterine cavity, or transfer of a large volume of culture medium can cause this implantation. An ovarian pregnancy occured after intracytoplasmic sperm injection-embryo transfer (ICSI-ET) is presented here.

ICSI-ET Sonrası Gelişen Ovarian Ektopik Gebelik: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Ovarian gebelik, doğal yollar ile gerçekleşen 7000-16.000 konseptusta bir oluşmakta ve bu tüm ektopik gebeliklerin %1-3 kadarına denk gelmektedir. Ovarian ektopik gebelik ovumun over içinde fertilize olması ya da fertilize ovumun sekonder olarak overe implante olması sonucu gelişir. Yardımcı üreme teknikleri sonrası gelişen ovarian ektopik gebelikler ise, embriyonun overe sekonder olarak implante olması sonucu gelişir. Bu şekilde gerçekleşen implantasyonun nedeni, embriyo transferinin ultrason kılavuzluğunda yapılmaması, uterin kavitenin derinine yapılması ya da büyük hacimli kültür mediyumunun transferi ya da her üçü birden olabilir. Burada intrasitoplazmik sperm injeksi-yonu-embriyo transferi(ICSI-ET) sonrasında gerçekleşmiş ovarian gebelik olgusu sunulmaktadır.
