Skin Appendages Tumor Metastasis Mimicking Parotid Tumor

Abstract

Skin appendages tumors are rare tumors in histology. Especially in the cases that tumor located to the skin on the parotid and metastasizes to the lymph nodes, it can be confused with the parotid tumors and the diagnosis process can be prolonged. Metastasis to the parotid gland are most often caused by skin tumors. It is followed by lung, kidney and nasopharyngeal cancers in decreasing frequency. Skin appendages tumors that metastasize to the parotid gland are extremly rare in the literature. In this presentation, we aim to present our diagnosis and treatment approach to a 72 year-old female patient who has apocrine carcinoma located on the parotid skin that caused metastasis to the periparotid lymph nodes with a review of the literature.

Parotis Tümörünü Taklit Eden Deri Eki Tümörü Metastazı

Abstract

Deri eki tümörleri nadir karşılaşılan histolojideki tümörlerdir. Özellikle parotis üzerindeki ciltte meydana geldiği ve periparotid lenf nodlarına metastaz yaptığı durumlarda parotis tümörleri ile karışabilmekte ve tanı süreci uzayabilmektedir. Parotis bezine en sık cilt tümörleri metastaz yapar. Bunu azalan sıklıkta akciğer, böbrek ve nazofarenks kanserleri izler.Parotis bezine metastaz yapan deri eki tümörlerine ise literatürde son derece nadir olarak rastlanılmaktadır.Bu olgu sunumunda sol parotis loju cildinden kaynaklanıp, periparotid lenf nodlarına metastaz yapan apokrin karsinoma sahip 72 yaşındaki kadın hastaya tanı ve tedavi yaklaşımımızı literatür eşliğinde sunmayı amaçladık.
