Abstract
Tests, which prepared by using multiple-choice questions, are widely preferred in evaluation of students' knowledge. In spite of their higher objectivity compared with the other examination techniques, they have some limitations which require to spend more attention in preparing questions. During the three years of integrated medical education system at the Uludağ University, Faculty of Medicine, multiple-choice question techniques were used in all of the written tests. The objective of this retrospective study was to detect the distribution of the choices selected as true answers for the questions. The least and most used choices for the first- and second-class tests were E, B and A, C respectively. It was concluded that some departments were not selective enough in preparing the true answer choices.
Abstract
Çoktan seçmeli sorularla hazırlanan sınavlar, öğrencilerin bilgi birikimlerinin değerlendirilmesinde yaygın olarak tercih edilen yöntemlerdir. Diğer sınav yöntemlerine oranla daha nesnel olmalarına karşın, soru hazırlama aşamasında dikkat edilmesi gereken özelliklere sahiptir. Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinde üç yıl süre ile uygulanan entegre eğitim sisteminde yapılan tüm yazılı sınavlarda çoktan seçmeli soru yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Geriye dönük olarak yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı, sorulan soruların doğru yanıt seçeneklerinin dağılımının saptanmasıdır. En az ve en çok kullanılan seçenekler, birinci sınıf sınavları için E ve B; ikinci sınıf sınavları için A ve C olmuştur. Bazı anabilim dallarının doğru yanıt seçeneklerini hazırlarken yeterince seçici davranmadıkları sonucuna varılmıştır.
