Abstract

Renal glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the amount of substances which are filtered by glomeruli in milliliters per minute. GFR is one of the most commonly used test among the kidney function test. Also, it is considered to be the best indicator of total kidney function in health and disease. The decline in GFR is the earliest laboratory finding for diagnosis of the renal disease. GFR cannot be measured directly, but instead it can be assessed by the renal clearance of filtration markers. In order to measure GFR, endogenous markers such as urea, creatinine, cysta-tin C, and exogenous markers such as inulin are used. In addition some formulas have been developed to calculate GFR.

Glomerüler Filtrasyon Belirteçleri ve Hesaplama Formülleri

Abstract

Her iki böbreğin tüm nefronlarında bir dakikada oluşan glomerüler filtrat miktarına Glomerüler Filtrasyon Hızı (GFH) denir. GFH, böbrek fonksiyon testleri arasında en sık kullanılan testlerden birisidir. Ayrıca sağlıklı ve hastalıklı dönemde total böbrek fonksiyonunun en iyi göstergesi olarak kabul edilmektedir. GFH'nda saptanan düşüş böbrek hastalığın en erken laboratuvar bulgusudur. GFH'nın doğrudan ölçü-mü çok güç olduğundan klirens hesabı yardımıyla dolaylı yoldan hesaplanır. GFH'nı ölçmek için üre, kreatinin, sistatin C gibi endojen ve inülin gibi ekzojen belirteçlerin kullanımı yanı sıra bazı formüller de geliştirilmiştir.
