Abstract
In some periods of Turkish history, Hatuns came forward politically in state administration, as well as
contributing numerous social works and activities that survived until the present day. Raziye Devlet
Hatun was one of these prominent Hatuns of Turkic Seljuk State. Raziye Devlet Hatun had an imaret,
a masjid and a caravanserai which lent its name to Kadinhani town of the present Turkey. Regarding
these historical monuments, there are two waqfiyyas which were dated 1210 and 1223. That she was
the daughter of Danishmend Yaghibasan Muzaffereddin and she used the title of Al-i-Seljuk and Devlet
in waqfiyyas makes her an interesting Hatun. In this study we will try to reveal unknown aspects
of Raziye Devlet Hatun’s life.
