Bir buzağıda Brachygnathia inferior (Micrognathia) Olgusu

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Elazığ’da suni tohumlama sonrasında gebe kalan İsviçre Esmeri bir düveden doğan 7 günlük dişi bir buzağıda Brachygnathia inferior (Micrognathia, Parrot-Mouth) olgusu sunuldu. Yapılan inspektif muayenede buzağıdaki doğmasal anomali Brachygnathia inferior olarak tanımlandı. Buzağıda alt çenenin üst çeneye göre 9 cm kısa olduğu, kesici dişlerin çarpık olduğu, üst damağın normal olduğu ve dilin büyük kısmının dışarıda kaldığı gözlendi. Dilin uç kısımlarında kuruma sonucu renk değişimi gözlendi. Buzağının annesini ememediği ve biberonla beslendiği görüldü. Ellibeş gün sonra yapılan kontrolde buzağıda yeterli beslenememeye bağlı olarak gelişim geriliği tespit edildi. Sonraki takiplerde buzağının 70. güne kadar biberon aracılığıyla sadece sütle beslendiği ve üç aylıkken öldüğü bilgisi alındı. Brachygnathia inferior olgusu 7 ve 55. günlerde fotoğraflandı

A case of Brachygnathia Inferior (Micrognathia) in a Calf

Abstract

In this study, Brachygnathia inferior (Micrognathia) was seen in a 7 days old female calf that was born from artificial inseminated Brown Swiss cow in Elazig was presented. The anomaly was diagnosed as Brachygnathia inferior (Micrognathia, Parrot-Mouth) by inspection in the exam. The mandible was 9 cm shorter than maxilla and the incisor teeth were irregular, the superior palate was normal and the bigger part of tongue was out of mouth were observed. A color change on the outer part of tongue because of drying was observed. The calf couldn’t suck milk from her mother’s mammaries was observed. The calf could feed by feeding-bottle only was observed. A growth deficiency because of inefficient feeding after 50 days in control was observed. The calf was feed by feeding-bottle to 70th days and the calf was died on three month old. The case of Brachygnathia inferior (Micrognathia) was photographed in 7th and 55th days
