Determining financial ratios in health sector by factor analysis

Abstract

One of the aims of this study is to determine which relevant variables are suitable to use particularly in assessing the financial success and measuring the financial performance in the hospitals and another aim is to measure at which dimensions these variables focus. Thus, the main purpose of this study is to put financial variables on the map which are specific for hospitals by exploring a set of variables which may display financial characteristics of performance in general. Finally, this study would suggest that 32 financial ratios are possible to use in health sector and these ratios may be gathered under 7 dimensions.
