Bir Alman Çoban Köpeğinde lokal demodikozis enfestasyonunda tedavi yaklaşımı

Abstract

Demodikozis bütün dünyada köpeklerde yaygın olarak görülen önemli bir deri hastalığıdır. Hastalık juvenil ve adult olarak sınıflandırılır ve her iki formun da lokal ve generalize hali mevcuttur. Bu vakada dokuz aylık bir Alman çoban köpeğinde tespit edilen lokal demodikozis değerlendirildi. Hastalığın tedavisinde benzoyl peroxide ve amitraz etken maddeleri kullanıldı ve iki hafta gibi çok kısa bir sürede klinik iyileşme tespit edildi. Hastanın ilerleyen yaşlarda iki yıl süresince takibi yapılarak hastalığın lokal ya da generalize şekilde tekrarlamadığı saptandı

Therapeutic approach in a German Shepherd Dog with local demodicosis

Abstract

Demodicosis is a common skin disease in the dogs worldwide. The disease classified as juvenileonset and adult-onset and both forms may be localized or generalized. In this case, local demodicosis in a nine months old German shepherd puppy was evaluated. Benzoyl peroxide and amitraz were used for the treatment of the disease and very fast clinically recovery was observed into two weeks. The patient was observed after the healing, and it was determined that the disease did not recur locally or generalized in during two years
