Kedilerde karşılaşılan humerus kırıkları ve sağaltım sonuçlarının klinik olarak değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı, kedilerde karşıla-
şılan humerus kırıklarının endike olan konservatif
veya operatif sağaltım seçeneklerinin
aktarılması, sonuçlarının değerlendirilmesi ve
yapılacak çalışmalara katkı sağlamanın yanında,
bu konuda çalışan klinisyenler için yönlendirici
olmasıdır. Bu çalışma Şubat 2008 - Aralık
2009 tarihleri arasında Ankara Üniversitesi
Veteriner Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji
Kliniği’ne getirilen, klinik ve radyolojik muayeneler
sonrasında, humerus kırığı belirlenen
değişik ırk, yaş ve cinsiyetteki 23 kedi üzerinde
gerçekleştirildi.
Çalışmada değerlendirilen 23 olgudaki
25 humerus kırığının; 6’sı proksimalde (metafizer
tam olmayan ayrılma), 10’u diyafizde
(1’i diyafizer tam olmayan ayrılma, 1’i diyafizer
transversal, 8’i diyafizer oblik), 9’u distalde
(3’ü supracondyler, 1’i lateral condyler
ayrılma, 5’i “T” ve ”Y” kırığı) belirlendi.
Bu olgulardan 6 olguda konservatif sağaltım
uygulanırken, operatif kırık sağaltımında 15
olguda intrameduller pin, bir olguda çapraz
pin, 5 olguda transcondyler pin ve 1 olguda
transcondyler lag vida uygulaması geçekleştirildi.
Olguların 10, 21, 30 ve 45. günlerinde
klinik ve radyografik kontrolleri yapıldı. Bu
dönemde 13 olguda fonksiyonel iyileşme, 1
olguda eklem sertliği ve articulatio cubiti’nin
ekstensiyon açısında daralma, 1 olguda fonksiyon
kaybı, 1 olguda nonunion, 1 olguda radial
paralizi saptanırken, 5 olgu izlenemedi. Bir
olguda ise, hasta sahibi operasyon önerisini
kabul etmedi.

Clinical evaluation of humerus fractures and treatment results in cats

Abstract

The aim of this study is; to quote the conservative and operative treatment choices of humerus fractures, evaluation of treatment results and besides to contribute future research, to guide to the clinicians studying about this topic. The study material consists of 23 cats, of different breeds, ages and sexes, brought to Ankara University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology between February 2008 and December 2009 with the complaint of front extremity that was later diagnosed as a fracture in the humerus after clinical and radiographic examinations. 25 humerus fractures in 23 cases evaluated in this study are classified as; 6 proximal(metaphyser incomplate fracture), 10 diaphyseal (1 diaphyseal incomplate fracture, 1 diaphyseal transversal and 8 diaphyseal oblique), 9 distal (3 supracondyler, 1 lateral condyler detachment and 5 “T” and “Y” fracture). 6 cases were treated by conservative methods, and the rest were treated by operative techniques with 15 intramedullary pinning, one cross pinning, 5 transcondyler pinning and 1 transcondyler lag screw. Clinical and radiological evaluations and surveys were conducted at 10th, 21st, 30th and 45th days for all cases. In this survey period, 13 cases were evaluated as fully functional recovery, 1 case was evaluated as joint disfunction and extention angle narrowing of art. cubiti, 1 case was evaluated as disfunction, 1 case was evaluated as nonunion fracture repair, 1 case was evaluated as radial paralysis but 5 cases couldn’t been surveyed due to animal owners. In one case, the animal owner denied to have the surgery to fix the fracture
