Çalışmanın materyalini, iki yıldır kuyruk bölgesinde tüy dökülmesi ve kaşıntı şikayetiyle kliniğe getirilen 14 yaşlı, dişi bir Van kedisi oluşturdu. Klinik muayenede kuyruğun dorsal bölgesinde tüy dökülmesi ve kırmızı renkli, 2 cm çapında ülseratif bir kitlenin dışında herhangi anormal bir durum tespit edilmedi. Kuyruk bölgesindeki lezyondan alınan biyopsi materyalinin histopatolojik muayenesinde olguya kedilerde kuyruk bölgesinde nadir saptanan kuyruk fibrosarkoması tanısı konuldu. Sonuç olarak kedilerde genellikle sırt ve bacak bölgesinde rastlanan fibrosarkomaların, nadiren kuyruk bölgesinde ortaya çıktığı tespit edilmiştir
A 14-year-old female, Van cat has been presented progressive, pruritic alopecia localized to the dorsal aspect of the tail for two years. On physical examination, there was ulcerative nodular mass of red colour measuring about 2 cm diameter on the tail except for that we have not seen any other abnormalities. A biopsy material from the lesion was investigated histopathologically. According to histopathological examination, the mass was diagnosed as a tail fibrosarcoma in cat. Finally primer skin lesions in cats caused by fibrosarcoma generally can be determined on the trunk and limbs, but it might also rarely determined on the tail
