Bir Türk Kangal köpeğinde sekonder anöstrus sorunu ve cabergolin kullanımı ile sağaltımı

Abstract

Bu olgu takdimini Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Doğum ve Jinekoloji Anabilim Dalı kliniğine anöstrus şikayeti ile getirilen 6 yaşında, dişi bir Türk Kangal köpeği oluşturdu. Hasta sahibinden alınan anamneze göre köpeğin en son kızgınlığını 22 ay önce gösterdiği öğrenildi. Problemin nedeninin tespiti için periyodik olarak vaginal sitoloji yapıldı vetiroid hormonları, östrojen (E2) ile progesteron (P4) düzeyleri ölçüldü. Vaginalsitolojik muayenede köpeğin anöstrus döneminde olduğu tespit edildi. Serum T3, rT4 ve TSH düzeyi normal, E2düzeyi 12.77 pg/mlve P4 düzeyi ise 1.37 ng/ml idi.Vaginal sitoloji ile hormon sonuçları birlikte değerlendirildiğinde olguya sekonder anöstrus tanısı konuldu.Östrusu uyarmak amacıyla cabergolin (Dostinex®, Pharmacia, Italy) 6µg/kg/gün dozunda, oral yollauygulandı. Uygulama başlangıcından sonraki 8. günde köpekte belirgin proöstrus belirtileri başladı ve bu nedenle tedavi sonlandırıldı.Tedavi başlangıcından 16 gün sonra P4 düzeyinin de 4.96 ng/ml’ye ulaşmasını takibenköpek birgün aralıklarla 2 kez, suni olarak tohumlandı. İkinci tohumlamayı izleyen 24. günde köpeğin gebe olduğu belirlendi. Sonuç olarak köpeklerde sekonder anöstrusun tedavisindecabergolininetkili olduğu ve fertil östrusu uyarılabildiği kanısına varıldı

The seconder anestrus in a Turkish Kangal dogs and treatment with using cabergoline

Abstract

A 6-year-old, female Turkish Kangal dog was presented to the Clinics of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ankara University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with anestrus. Anamnesis taken from the owner of the dog, it was learned that the last estrus were observed seen 22 months ago. In order to determine the cause of the problem, vaginal cytology was performed periodically. Thyroid hormones, estrogen (E2) and progesterone (P4) levels were also measured. Vaginal cytology findings have confirmed that the anoestrus period. Serum T3, rT4 and TSH levels were normal, level of E2 and P4 were 12.77 pg/ml and 1.37 ng/mL, respectively. Vaginal cytology results were considered together with the hormone analysis, the seconder anestrus was diagnosed. For estrus induction, cabergolin (Dostinex®, Pharmacia, Italy) was administered orally at 6 µg/kg/day. Signs of proestrus was determined in the dog 8 days after the beginning of treatment and application of cabergolin was terminated. When P4 level reached 4.96 ng/ml 16 days after the beginning of treatment, the bitch was inseminated artifically twice in every two days. It was determined that the dog was pregnant 24 days after to second insemination. It was concluded that cabergolin is effective in treatment of seconder anestrus and can be stimulated fertile estrus
