Abstract

Bu makale Charles Barbour’un Derrida's Secret: Perjury, Testimony, Oath adlı kitabının bir incelemesidir. Barbour, bu kitabında eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla Jacques Derrida’nın eserlerini sır kavramını odağına alarak inceliyor. Barbour, sırrın sadece Derrida’nın düşüncesini anlamak için önemli olmadığını, aynı zamanda sosyal ilişkimizi de yapılandıran bir kavram olduğunu iddia ediyor. Bu anlamda Charles Barbour’un kitabı, Derrida’nın düşüncesine ve sosyalliğimize farklı bir açıdan bakma fırsatı veriyor.

On The Book of Charles Barbour's Derrida’s Secret: Perjury, Testimony, Oath

Abstract

This paper is a review of Charles Barbour’s book Derrida's Secret: Perjury, Testimony, Oath. In this book Barbour critically engages Jacques Derrida’s oeuvre deploying the notion of secret. Barbour claims that secret is not only important to understand Derrida’s thought, but also it is this very notion that structures our social interaction. In this sense, Charles Barbour’s book gives an opportunity to engage Derrida’s thought and our very sociality from a different angle...............................
