Tekniklerin Fenomenolojisi

Year 2020, Issue: 12, 26 - 68, 20.11.2020

Abstract

Don Ihde, Technology and the Lifeworld: From Garden to Earth (1990) kitabında, kurucusu olduğu postfenomenolojinin klasik fenomenoloji ile arasına nasıl bir mesafe koyduğunu; insan-teknoloji-dünya ilişkilerini nasıl kavramsallaştırdığını anlatır.

A Phenomenology of Technics

Year 2020, Issue: 12, 26 - 68, 20.11.2020

Abstract

Don Ihde, in his book Technology and the Lifeworld: From Garden to Earth (1990), explains how postphenomenology, distances itself from classical phenomenology and conceptualizes the human-technology-world relations. The opening of the book deals with the concepts of praxis and perception within the philosophical frameworks of Heidegger, Husserl, and Merleau-Ponty. The book continues with the titles “A Phenomenology of Technics”, “Cultural Hermeneutics”, and “Lifeworld Shapes”. The selected part below is the one titled “Phenomenology of Techniques” and it includes the basic formulations and relations between humans and technology developed by Don Ihde. Human-technology-world relations are discussed here within the framework of embodied techniques, hermeneutical techniques, and relations of otherness.
