Badiou And Music: A Musician’s Investigation

Abstract

In the philosophy of Badiou, art is one of the main areas on which this philosophy is built along with other main areas. We come across often Badiou’s thoughts on cinema and poetry and the study of these thoughts. In his speech in conference held in Paris in 2010 named "Journées Alain Badiou", François Nicolas who is a musician, he put forward a study on the relationship between Badiou’s philosophy and music, which has not been thought of much until then. In this study, both how Badiou’s philosophy can relate to music, even a singular musical figure, and how a musician can relate to philosophy has been outlined.

Müzisyence Bir Soruşturma: Badiou ve Müzik

Abstract

Badiou felsefesinde sanat, diğer ana taşıyıcı alanlarla birlikte bu felsefenin üstüne inşa edildiği temel alanlardan biridir. Badiou’nun özellikle sinema ve şiir üzerine düşünceleri ve bu düşünceler üzerine çalışılması genel olarak sıkça rastladığımız bir şeydir. 2010 yılında Paris’te düzenlenen “Alain Badiou Günleri” isimli konferansta yer alan bu konuşmada, bir müzisyen olan François Nicolas, üzerine pek de düşünülmemiş bir konu olan Badiou felsefesi ile müziğin ilişkisi üzerine bir çalışma ortaya koymuştur. Bu çalışmada hem Badiou felsefesi ile müziğin, hatta tekil bir müzik figürünün nasıl ilişkilenebileceği hem de bir müzisyenin felsefe ile nasıl ilişki kurabileceği genel hatlarıyla gösterilmiştir.
