Nietzsche'nin Der Antichrist Metninin Türkçe Çevirileri Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

Felsefe metinlerinin çeviriler yoluyla Türkçeye nasıl aktarıldığı, tartışmaya açık bir meseledir. Zira çeviriler, Türkçe konuşulan dünyada genel felsefi kavrayışların yönünü olumlu ya da olumsuz şekilde belirleyebilecek güce sahiptir. Eksik, kolajlanmış ya da filozofun esas düşüncesinden ziyade tercümanın kendi ideolojilerini yansıtan bir çeviri, orijinal metni doğru anlama açısından olumsuz bir nitelik taşımaktadır. Ayrıca bu tür bir çeviri kültürel ve felsefi bağlamda bir katkı sağlamamaktadır. Öte yandan samimiyetle ve çeviri faaliyetinin esas amacını dikkate alarak yapılan bir çeviri, kültürün ve felsefi kavrayışların serpilmesine önemli ölçüde olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, çevirilerin olumlu ve olumsuz yönlerini incelemek açısından adeta bir laboratuvar niteliği taşıyan, Nietzsche’nin Der Antichrist: Fluch auf das Christenthum yapıtının farklı Türkçe çevirileri değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme, Der Antichrist metninin altı farklı Türkçe çevirisiyle sınırlandırılmıştır ve bu çevirilerde fark edilen temel sorunlar örneklerle ayrıntılandırılmıştır.

An Evaluation of the Turkish Translations of Nietzsche’s Der Antichrist

Abstract

The way philosophical texts are translated into Turkish is a matter of debate. The translations have the power to determine the direction of the general philosophical understanding in the Turkish-speaking world, either in a positive or in a negative way. Negative for the correct understanding of the original text is a translation that is incomplete, collaged, or reflects the translator’s own ideologies rather than the actual thought of the philosopher. Furthermore, this kind of translation does not contribute to the cultural and philosophical context. However, a faithful translation, considering the primary purpose of the translation, provides a significant opportunity for cultural and philosophical comprehension. In this study, various Turkish translations of Nietzsche’s Der Antichrist: Fluch auf das Christenthum will be evaluated as a laboratory for the study of the positive and negative aspects of the translations. The evaluation is limited to six different Turkish translations of Der Antichrist, and the main problems found in these translations are presented in detail with examples.
