In the study, it is aimed to investigate the effect of individual innovativeness on competitive attitude, and the moderator role of environmental uncertainty in this effect in terms of employees working in technology and informatics sector. Today, especially technological changes increase environmental uncertainty for all sectors. Firms try to increase compliance by developing some internal behaviors in order to keep up with uncertainty. They tend to increase their competitive attitudes by incorporating innovative individuals in their talent pools. How this relationship is affected by the increase in uncertainty is an issue that needs to be investigated. In this regard, a survey is conducted on 238 participants working in companies operating in technology and informatics sector in İstanbul between 20 December 2019 and 25 February 2020 via using convenience sampling and purposive sampling. In the study, quantitative research method is used. As the result of the analysis of the data collected form the participants, it is found that individual innovativeness has significant and partial effect on competitive attitude, and environmental uncertainty has a moderator role in this effect. Moreover, significant differences are found in the answers given for research variables by the participants according to their various demographical characteristics.
