The spread of new communication technologies has led to change and transformation in many different fields. Journalism is one of the most prominent professions in which the transformation has taken place. Newspapers and their employees have left traditional methods behind in terms of their main news practices, economic situation and professional skills while entering the digital transformation process. This transformation is important for local newspapers, which are in economic difficulties compared to national newspapers. In the study, it is aimed to reveal how local newspapers evaluate the digital transformation process. The data collection stage of the research is formed using the semi-structured in-depth interview technique, which is a qualitative research method. The scope of the research is the local newspapers, while the sample consists of six newspaper employees working in the local press of Antalya. The data obtained from the interviews are evaluated using the descriptive analysis method. Research findings show that local newspapers, which use information and communication technologies effectively, are going through the transformation process more comfortably and that employees need to acquire new skills in transferring journalism to the online environment.
