Ethnocentrism is a cultural phenomenon evaluated within the framework of the internal-external group. It reflects a situation in which the person feels belonging to his own cultural perspective or, in other words, he tends to identify with the group (in-group) that forms his identity, and other external groups are seen more common and ordinary. It seems that the aspect of ethnocentrism that emphasizes culture cannot be considered independent of personality. As it is known, culture has a decisive structure in shaping personality. At the same time, the profession dimension that can be evaluated in culture is one of the focal points of ethnocentrism. The idea of ethnocentrism, especially caused by professional teachings, harms the functioning of the profession. It is aimed to make a conceptual review study on the concepts of ethnocentrism and professional centrism on the subject of the deficiency in the literature. As a result of the study, it is determined that the concept of ethnocentrism is frequently supported by studies on consumer ethno-centrism, and studies on vocational centering are not included in the literature. At the same time, it is concluded that it is important to be aware of this concept since it contributes to the functioning of the professions.
