Human, born into the world of visual, auditory and linguistic signs perceives and interprets these signs throughout life. Singns are notable for their representation rather than their direct representation. Signs are the transmitters of beliefs, life views, thinking structures and cultures along with the knowledge of humanity and they are frequently included in proverbs and idioms that emphasize the stereotypical aspect of the language. The subject of this study is to determine the characteristics and ways in which the word neck as a sign reflects the Turkish mindset in proverbs and idioms, which are one of the transfer tools of culture. While the universe of the study was proverbs and idioms, the sample was chosen from proverbs and idioms in Turkey Turkish. As a result of the study, it was seen that Turkish mentality was presented in line with the physical characteristics of the neck in terms of folk law, strong and weak perception, independence and captivity in Turkish proverbs and idioms based on the neck. In this respect, based on the neck example, the origin of organs in Turkey, whose contribution to the field is undeniably large and valuable, their equivalents in Turkish dialects and accents, as well as the studies on the axis of belief, belief and rituals, as well as fashion, architecture, music, art, language. It is thought that the examination of semiotics, which is used in numerous fields such as literature, sports, and communication, will both provide a multidimensional approach to the examined indicators and contribute to interdisciplinary studies.
