Yoğun Bakım Ünitesinde Hasta Kabul ve Taburculuk Kriterleri

Abstract

Yoğun bakım yatakları hastanelerin yatak kapa- sitesinin sadece %2-8’ini oluşturmasına karşın, gerekmediği halde, sadece ilave tetkik ve tedaviler sırasında gözlem yapılacak hastaların yoğun bakım ünitelerine kabul edilmesi söz konu- su olabilmektedir. Ülkemizde milli gelirin sadece %5’i sağlık giderlerine harcanmaktadır. Bundan dolayı yoğun bakım ünitelerinde kabul ve taburcu- luk kriterleri iyi belirlenmiş olmalıdır. Yoğun Bakım Derneği yoğun bakım hastalarında etkili bakımı sağlamak için kabul ve taburculuk rehberi yayınla- mıştır. Yoğun bakım üniteleri bu rehberi kullanarak kendi politikalarını oluşturabilmektedir

The Criteria of Patient Admission and Discharge in the Intensive Care Unit

Abstract

Although the critical care beds account for only 2-8% of all beds in hospitals, patients to be moni- tored for additional examinations and treatments (20-77%) are admitted to intensive care units, though not required. About only 5% of the national income is shared to health expenditure in our coun- try. Therefore, the admission and discharge criteria should be well determined in the intensive care units. The Society of Critical Care Medicine has published a guideline of admission and discharge criteria for effective care of critically ill patients. Individual intensive care units should create poli- cies specific to their unit using this guideline
