Abstract

Amaç: Kar amacı gütmeyen bir üniversite hastanesinin acil yoğun bakımında hasta tatminini vehastayı memnun etmeyen nedenleri saptamak veburada çalışan personele yardımcı olmak.Çalışma Planı ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya İ. Ü. İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi İlk ve Acil Yardım AnabilimDalı Yoğun Bakım Ünitesi’nde tedavi gören 24hasta alındı. Taburcu edildikten sonra tüm hastalarla tatmin dereceleri konusunda telefonla görüşüldü ve 37 sorudan oluşan bir anket formu uygulandı.Bulgular ve Sonuç: Hastaların genel olarak çalışan tüm personele güven duydukları görüldü.Hemşirelerin uygulama yaparken hastalara herzaman açıklama yaptıkları saptandı. Hastalar fizikortam, donanım ve temizlikten memnuniyetlerinibelirttiler. Yemekler doyurucu bulundu. Ücret politikasının hastayı zorlamadığı; gece ve tatil günleri verilen bakım kalitesinin düştüğü saptandı

The Extent of Patient Satisfaction in Patients who Received Medical Care in the Emergency Unit of Medicine Faculty of Istanbul University

Abstract

Objectives: To determine the extent of satisfaction
and the reasons of dissatisfaction in patients
hospitalized in the emergency unit of a non-profit
university hospital.
Study Design and Methods: The study included
24 patients who had received treatment in the
Emergency Care Unit of Medicine School of
Istanbul University. The patients were interviewed
by phone following discharge and a 37-item questionnaire
was administered concerning the degree
of satisfaction.
Conclusion: In general the patients had confidence
in all personnel. Nurses always enlightened the
patients about nursing interventions and applications.
A general content was expressed with regard to
physical environment, equipment, and hygiene. The
meals were found adequate. The cost was affordable.
It was noted that the quality of care decreased
during night and weekend medical services.
