Intensive Care Management of Heart Failure Patients in COVID-19 Pandemic

Year 2020, Volume: 24 Issue: EK-1 - Covid-19 Pandemi Sürecinde Yoğun Bakım Hemşireliği, 57 - 60, 05.06.2020

Abstract

COVID-19 infection has more severe course in individuals with chronic diseases according to reports. One of the most common causes of decompensation for heart failure (HF) is infection. Cardiac damage caused by COVID-19 can lead to HF or worsen the existing HF and results in admission to intensive care unit. Close monitoring and professional nursing care are vital in successfully managing COVID-19 patients with heart failure (HF) in intensive care. While intensive care nurses provide care for these patients, they have to manage the symptoms associated with COVID-19 infection as well as cardiac problems of HF. This review addresses the intensive care management of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 based on current knowledge.

COVID-19 Pandemisinde Kalp Yetersizliği Hastalarının Yoğun Bakım Yönetimi

Year 2020, Volume: 24 Issue: EK-1 - Covid-19 Pandemi Sürecinde Yoğun Bakım Hemşireliği, 57 - 60, 05.06.2020
