YILLIK: Annual of Istanbul Studies is published online and in print. Both editions have the exact same content and there is
no embargo period. The online edition is open access. Publishing in YILLIK is free of charge. Authors of articles published
remain the copyright holders and grant third parties the right to use, reproduce, and share the article according to Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0), upon proper citation and acknowledgement.

Articles published in YILLIK are archived digitally in LOCKSS.

1. The Publisher allows authors the use of the final published version of an article (publisher pdf) for self-archiving (author's personal website) and/or archiving in an institutional repository after publication.
2. Authors may self-archive their articles in public and/or commercial subject-based repositories. There is no embargo period but the published source must be acknowledged and a link to the journal home page or articles' DOI must be set.
3. Authors may download print of the article as a PDF document. Authors may send copies of the article to colleagues without embargo.
4. The publisher allow all versions of papers (Submitted version,
Accepted version, Published version) to be deposited in an institutional or other repository of the author’s choice without embargo.
