YILLIK: Annual of Istanbul Studies

Rising on the shoulders of the İstanbul Araştırmaları Yıllığı / Annual of İstanbul Studies, the relaunched YILLIK: Annual of Istanbul Studies is a peer-reviewed, open access, international academic journal, published by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Istanbul Research Institute in print and online (via DergiPark). Thanks to a reformed advisory board, whose expertise covers all periods and disciplines in the study of Istanbul’s past and present, the journal now sets a much higher academic standard, manifested through double-blind peer review process with two experts reviewing each manuscript accepted for consideration.

Authors of articles published remain the copyright holders and grant third parties the right to use, reproduce, and share the article according to Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0), upon proper citation and acknowledgement.

The review process is mandatory for research articles, while book and exhibition reviews along with the Meclis pieces only require editorial evaluation.
