Hizmetkâr Liderlik Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme: "Hayat Bugün" Dizisi Örneği

Abstract

Amaç: Yönetim alanında teoriyi pratiğe bağlamak için popüler
kültürün (özellikle sinema, dizi vb.) araçları kullanılmaktadır. Popüler kültür ilgi çekici ve eğitici bir deneyim sunarak yönetimle
ilgili birçok konunun anlaşılmasında yöneticilere, çalışanlara, öğrencilere ve öğretim üyelerine destek sağlamaktadır. Bu kapsamda bir televizyon programı olan Hayat Bugün dizisi hizmetkar
liderliğin anlaşılması için bu çalışmada incelenmiştir.
Yöntem: Araştırma yöntemi olarak nitel araştırma yönteminin
benimsendiği çalışmada betimsel analiz tekniği tercih edilmiştir.
Dizideki başrolü üstlenen Başhekimin tutum ve davranışları ve
çalışanları ile ilişkileri Greenleaf ve Spears’ın Hizmetkar Liderlik Modeli (1) kapsamında oluşturulan on tema kapsamında ele
alınmıştır.
Bulgular: Analiz sonucunda dinleme, empati, iyileştirme, farkındalık, ikna, kavramsallaştırma, öngörü, hizmet odaklılık, kişilerin büyümesine/gelişmesine bağlılık, topluluk kurma temalarının dizide işlendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Sonuç: Araştırmanın sağlık yönetimi alanında pratik ile uygulama arasındaki bağlantıyı sağlaması açısından yöneticilere, çalışanlara öğrencilere, öğretim üyelerine ve araştırmacılara çıkarımları vardır.
