Yozgat Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Education expects all stakeholders in the publishing process to adhere to the ethical rules and responsibilities outlined below, taking into account the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
- Author(s) must submit original work and are required to appropriately cite the works of other researchers whenever they utilize them.
- Every researcher who has contributed to the study must be properly credited as a co-author.
- Author(s) must strictly comply with the guidelines specified in the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive.
- Author(s) must disclose any potential conflicts of interest or relationships that could influence the study.
- Author(s) cannot submit their work to more than one journal simultaneously. A new submission process can only be initiated following the formal completion of the previous application. Studies already published in another journal cannot be submitted to Yozgat Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Education.
Ethical Rules for the Editorial Board
- The Editorial Board must act objectively and without discrimination among authors while performing their duties. Submitted manuscripts must be evaluated solely based on the journal’s aims and scope.
- The Editorial Board must maintain the strict confidentiality of all information regarding submitted manuscripts and ensure the protection of personal data.
- The Editorial Board must prioritize scientific quality and originality.
- The Editorial Board is responsible for making publication decisions by striving to meet the needs of readers and authors.
- The Editorial Board must always be prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary.
- In the event of a complaint regarding an ethical violation, the Editorial Board must implement the required procedures in compliance with the journal’s policies and established protocols.
Ethical Rules for Reviewers
- Reviewers are required to conduct the evaluation process under strict confidentiality.
- Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts using solely objective criteria, such as scientific merit, originality, the significance of the study, and its relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Reviewers must bring all critical information necessary for the rejection of a manuscript to the attention of the Editorial Board.
- Reviewers must promptly report cases of missing citations, duplicate publication, copyright infringement by the author, or plagiarism to the journal editorship upon detection.
