Yozgat Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Education expects all stakeholders involved in the publication process to comply with the ethical principles and responsibilities outlined below, taking into account the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must submit original work and appropriately cite the work of other researchers whenever it is used.
All researchers who have made a significant contribution to the study must be properly credited as co-authors.
Authors must strictly comply with the principles specified in the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest or relationships that may influence the study.
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively to one journal at a time. A new submission process may only be initiated after the formal completion of the previous submission process. Studies that have already been published in another journal may not be submitted to Yozgat Bozok University Journal of Faculty of Education.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
The Editorial Board must act objectively and without discrimination while carrying out its duties. Submitted manuscripts must be evaluated solely on the basis of the journal’s aims and scope.
The Editorial Board must maintain the strict confidentiality of all information regarding submitted manuscripts and ensure the protection of personal data.
The Editorial Board must prioritize scientific quality and originality.
The Editorial Board is responsible for making publication decisions with due consideration of the needs of readers and authors.
The Editorial Board must be prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary.
In the event of a complaint regarding an ethical violation, the Editorial Board must implement the necessary procedures in accordance with the journal’s policies and established protocols.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are required to conduct the evaluation process under strict confidentiality.
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of objective criteria, such as scientific merit, originality, the significance of the study, and its relevance to the journal’s scope.
Reviewers must inform the Editorial Board of any critical issues that may affect the evaluation or publication decision.
Reviewers must promptly report any cases of missing citations, duplicate publication, copyright infringement, or plagiarism to the journal’s editorial office when detected.
