Abstract

Enflasyon hedeflemesi, 1990’lardan sonra enflasyonla mücadele ve fiyat istikrarını sağlamaya yönelik olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Bugüne kadar ki süreçte, hem gelişmiş ve hem de gelişmekte olan ülkeler tarafından uygulamaya konulmuştur. Enflasyon hedeflemesi, para politikasının güvenilirliğini artırarak ülkelere istikrarın sağlanmasında katkı sağlamaktadır. Çalışmada gelişmiş ülkelerde ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde bu politikanın başarısı değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, enflasyon hedeflemesi yaklaşımının gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin enflasyon oranlarını düşürmede başarılı olduğu yönündedir. Bu politikanın uygulandığı dönemde, enflasyon hedeflemesi yaklaşımının gelişmiş ülkelerde büyüme hızına daha olumlu katkılar sağlandığı da ortaya çıkmıştır
