Articles are only submitted through the open journal system.
Authors are required to upload their articles to the system after writing or editing them according to the journal article template. The style gallery in the template is created according to the journal writing rules. You can use it for your edits.
APA 6 style should be used for in-text references and bibliography. For information about APA 6 style, please use the following link. http://www.apastyle.org/learn/index.aspx
Manuscripts submitted to the journal are expected to be between 15-20 pages (or 7500-10000 words).
The articles uploaded to the system by the authors are reviewed by the editorial board and it is decided whether the article should be evaluated or not.
Submitted manuscripts are checked for citation with the ithenticate program.
Writing Rules
The manuscripts to be submitted to the Journal of Yıldız Institute of Social Sciences should be prepared on the following “Article Templates”.

Text
1.The text of the article should be written in Palatino Linotype font, 11 point size, 2.5 cm margins from all sides, single column, 1 line spacing, A4 size.
2.Paragraphs should start with a 1 cm indent and there should be no space between paragraphs.
3. When emphasis is required in the text, bold emphasis should be used.
4.6 nk space should be left before and after paragraphs.
Article Title
1.The title of the article should clearly indicate the subject, field and the boundaries of the problem.
2.The title should be bold, centered, only the first letters of words other than conjunctions should be capitalized and written in 14 font size (Palatino Linotype).
Abstract/Abstract-Keywords/Keywords
1.Each article should be preceded by an abstract in Turkish and English.
2.The abstract should include the purpose, important findings and conclusions of the article.
3.The abstract should be justified and should not exceed 200 words.
4.The abstract and keywords should be typed in Palatino Linotype font, 10 pt and single-spaced.
5. At least 3 and at most 5 keywords that will define the content of the article should be included at the bottom of the abstract.
Title and Subtitles
1.All headings should be written in Palatino Linotype font, 11 point size.
2.First degree headings should be capitalized, left justified and bold.
3.Second degree headings should be written with the first letters of the words capitalized, the others in lower case, left justified and bold.
4.Third degree headings should be written with the first letter of the words capitalized, the others in lower case, using a 1 cm paragraph head, left justified and bold.
5.Fourth degree headings should be left justified, bold and italicized, using a 1 cm paragraph head, with the first letter of the words capitalized and the others in lower case.
6.Paragraph formatting is as follows;

Table and Figure/Visual Display
1.Tables and figures should be prepared ready for publication and should be centered on the page where they appear in the text.
2.Palatino Linotype, 10 font size, single line spacing should be used in the text used in tables and table titles. The table title should be written above the table.
3.The first letter of each word in table titles should be capitalized.
4.The texts in the table should be written in single line spacing with 0 nk space before and after, without adding spaces between paragraphs in the same style.
5.Vertical lines should not be used in the table.
6.The width of the table lines should be set at !/2 nk width.
7.12 nk space should be left before and after the table.
8.In the display of table titles and table numbers, the table number should be bold and centered, and the table title should be normal and centered.

9.Figure title should be shown below the figure. In the display of figure and image captions, the figure/image number should be bold and centered, and the figure/image title should be normal and centered.

Bibliography
1.References should be listed alphabetically.
2.APA 6 style should be used for in-text references and bibliography and should be added at the end of the article. Examples of bibliography usage are given below to help you.
Bibliography Linker
When citing references in the text, the bibliography conjunction should be used. In the bibliography link, the surname of the author, the date of publication of the work and the page number in direct quotations should be given.
Single-author bibliography link:
(Smart, 2013), (Smart, 2013, p. 61), According to Smart (2013), According to Smart (2013, p. 61)
Two-author bibliography link:

References with Four and Five Authors:
In bibliographies with four and five authors, the bibliography link should be given as it is in the first place (Akıllı, Çalışkan, Uslu, & Kurnaz 2013) and abbreviated in the following sections (Akıllı et al., 2013).
References with Six or More Authors
Studies with six or more authors should be abbreviated at the first mention and in the following sections.
Other important issues with notation
1. If more than one work of an author in the same year is cited, the works should be listed as follows: (Smart 2013a), (Smart 2013b), (Smart 2013a, 2013b)
2. If more than one study by the same author is cited, the studies should be listed as follows; (Smart, 2014; Smart, 2015)
3. In case the works of authors with the same surname are cited, the works should be given as follows: (Akıllı, 2013), (B. Akıllı, 2014), According to Akıllı (2013), According to B. Akıllı (2014)
4. In case of more than one citation on the same subject, the references used in the bibliography should be listed in date order and the references on the same date should be listed alphabetically by name: (Arıcı & Ungan, 2008; Aytan, 2010; Göçer, 2010; Kurudayıoğlu & Karadağ, 2010; Karatay, 2011; Dağtaş, 2012; Karadağ & Kayabaşı, 2013)
5. Abbreviations related to institutions should be given at the first mention and used as abbreviations in the following sections: General Directorate of Security (EGM) - (General Directorate of Security [EGM], 2012)
6.Legal texts should be shown as follows: (Basic Law on National Education, 1973)
7. In case of citing the page range (Smart, 2013, pp. 61-63)
