AN OUTLOOK OVER GELİBOLU THROUGH POSTMODERNISM
Öz
Postmodernism is a movement of thought which was first seen after World War II in the United States of America and then in the Europen countries. This movement first appeared in architecture started to influence other branches of fine arts in time and literature is no doubt among them. Buket Uzuner's novel Geliboluis a work of literature written in the postmodern mode (style). The novel is a text which narrates the New Zealender Viki's guess at the survival of Besides being a historical novel written in the postmodern style, the novel has a linguistic structure which is removed from some of the untidy, blurred characteries/faults of postmodernism that are mostly seen in literary works. In our study, we try to emphasize this linguistic structure's plot which presents a harmonic chosen within itself, the relationship of this plot the mentioned movement, the course of the narrative which constantly h0olds the attantion of the reader and its meaningful message.
