Modern Turkish Literature Researches is a peer-reviewed international academic journal that focuses on original research in modern Turkish literature, drawing on various social science disciplines.
Launched in 2009 by the Turkish Literature Foundation, the journal is published twice a year, in June and December.
When it first launched, the Turkish Literature Foundation Economic Enterprise was owned by S. Servet Kabaklı, President of the Turkish Literature Foundation, with Beşir Ayvazoğlu as Editor-in-Chief and İlyas Dirin as Managing Editor. The Editorial Board of New Turkish Literature Studies during this period included Hasan Akay, Yılmaz Daşçıoğlu, Nuri Sağlam, and Bahtiyar Aslan.
From the 10th issue onwards, Bahtiyar Aslan assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief, and Hülya Argunşah, İbrahim Şahin, Ülkü Eliuz, and Cafer Gariper joined the Editorial Board. Starting with the 14th issue, the journal's ownership, under the name of the Turkish Literature Foundation Economic Enterprise, has been assumed by Serhat Kabaklı, the President of the Turkish Literature Foundation.
In 2016, starting with the 15th issue, Modern Turkish Literature Researches decided to continue publishing with a new team and in digital format. Based on this decision, new issues are published under the editorship of Ramazan Korkmaz. From 2026 onwards, Selçuk Atay assumed the role of editor-in-chief, and the editorial and advisory boards were renewed. Having digitized its first fourteen printed issues, Modern Turkish Literature Researches continues its publication activities uninterruptedly, with two issues per year, as initially planned.
