The Journal of Modern Turkish Literature Researches, a peer-reviewed and internationally recognized journal, adopts ethical principles encompassing all components of the publication process, including editors, editorial board, consultants, authors, and readers. These principles are determined in line with the journal's open access policy and the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) on open access. The Journal of Modern Turkish Literature Researches accepts and commits to adhering to these ethical principles. Authors submitting articles to the journal are also expected to complete a form declaring their acceptance of these principles.

Ethical Responsibilities of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Modern Turkish Literature Researches
The editorial board is responsible for every article submitted to the Journal of Modern Turkish Literature Researches and for all processes leading up to its publication. In accordance with the requirements of the field of Modern Turkish Literature Researches, the journal has two field editors. Field editors are appointed for three years upon the proposal and recommendation of the "editorial board". Field editors whose terms have expired may be reappointed. The editor sends submitted articles to the journal for preliminary review to the writing and language supervisors, concealing any personal information. The formal review regarding the journal's writing rules and Turkish spelling is completed here. The editorial board reserves the right to request corrections and re-upload of the article if necessary. The editor may also send submitted articles to members of the editorial board or consultants who are not on the editorial board for review. The concepts of "peer review" and "professor review" are prominent in submitted works. An article submitted to the journal is considered "peer review" if it is sent to a consultant at the same academic level as the author, and "professor review" if it is sent to a consultant at a higher level. No consultant may hold a lower academic rank than the author of the submitted article. The editorial board is responsible for monitoring and enforcing this rule. The editorial board is responsible for maintaining an organized archive of the initial draft of submitted articles, any formatting reports, any subsequent revisions, the reviewers' proposed revisions, the final version after these revisions, and finally, the published version. The editorial board is responsible for taking preventative measures against plagiarism, unscientific/unethical behavior, etc., in articles submitted for publication. The editorial board is responsible for protecting the copyright of articles published in the journal. The editorial board keeps a record of all printed or electronic correspondence, reports, and other documents exchanged between the journal and individuals or legal entities.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Advisory Board
The Modern Turkish Literature Researches journal views the advisory board as a means of striving to make scientifically sound and contributing articles visible to the world in their most excellent form. In this respect, the advisory process holds particular importance within the journal. The editorial board is aware of this responsibility, which is also considered within the scope of international developments.
Academics appointed as advisors for articles submitted to Modern Turkish Literature Researches are selected based on their areas of expertise.
Advisors conduct their evaluations in accordance with the principle of impartiality.
Advisors withdraw from their advisory role by informing the editorial board in cases where there is a conflict of interest, such as religious affiliation, economic reasons, or partnerships in academic activities, such as projects, theses, books, etc. Advisors complete their evaluations within the rules and timeframe determined by the journal's editorial board. In necessary cases, they may request an extension of time by contacting the editorial board. If this request is deemed appropriate, the author of the article will also be informed. This is the responsibility of the editorial board.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
If an article submitted to the journal has more than one author, the authors should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the submitted work. This contribution should be considered in the order of the first author and subsequent authors. Authors who have not contributed to the article will not be included.
If the article submitted to the journal is based on a project, thesis, etc., carried out with support from any institution or organization, the author is obliged to thank the relevant organization. Articles submitted to the journal must be original; plagiarism, etc., must be avoided. It is the author's responsibility to ensure that the article is written in a manner free from unethical elements. Authors who submit articles to the journal will have their plagiarism reports reviewed using the iThenticate program. The review includes the text, bibliography, and footnotes. If the review result exceeds 20%, the article will not be submitted for evaluation. Furthermore, the author acknowledges that the results will be shared with the relevant authorities.
In articles submitted to Modern Turkish Literature Researches, if interviews, surveys, experiments on humans and/or animals, observations; qualitative or quantitative measurement and evaluation procedures have been applied, the author is obliged to submit to the editorial board, along with the article, a document stating that they have received ethical committee approval for their work. Articles submitted toModern Turkish Literature Researches must not have been previously published anywhere. Otherwise, the author is deemed to have accepted the legal responsibility that may arise. Even if the article has been published, the author is obliged to correct any errors or mistakes found in the article.
