THE NOVEL OF FERDA-YI GARAM IN THE OF LOVE AND SUICIDE
Abstract
Impression of imagination and dealt conflict over the individual is dealt with intensively in Servet-i Funun novel. Particularly, desire to escape from life appears as a subordinate theme supporting the main theme in this term novel. Here, Mehmet Rauf's novel, Ferdâ-yi Garam, is constructed upon psychology of Sermet, who is fifteen years old and has difficulty in orientation toward the outside world. In the novel, love of the cousins named Sermet and Macit is told in the context of mental tendencies of these two young's. Moreover, two young's mental troubles are presented in both sociologically and psychologically dimensions.
