Abstract
Bahtiyar Vahapzade is one of the greatest poets of the late modern Azerbaijan literature and also a scientist. Vahapzade is a poet who was born and grown in the Soviet Union period. However, he did not write propaganda poem sand, although for bidden by the regime, he continued the Azerbaijan poetry tradition. In this sense, it is possible to see obvious effetcs of Fuzuli on Vahapzade's poems. His view of love, his expression of unrequitted love, his appreciation of suffering for love, the arts and imagehe used while expressing these reminds of Fuzuli. Nevertheless, he practised all these in his poems which he wrote by four, five or six-line-paragraphs with syllable or in his free style poems. The poet continuing the tradition as utterance and image is completely out of classical poetry as form. In conclusion, it is possible to state that, in terms of the contents of his poems, Vahapzade is,the last link of the Azerbaijan peotry tradition, which started with Fuzuli.
