Abstract

E¤itim sistemimizde, akademik yay›nlara, raporlara, yaz›l› ve görsel bas›na yans›yan yönleriyle birçok sorunun yafland›¤› görülmektedir. PISA s›nav›nda son s›ralarda yer al›fl›m›z, ezbercilikten kurtulamayan ilkö¤retim ve ortaö¤retim sistemimiz, nas›l olmas› gerekti¤i konusunda karara var›lamayan ö¤retmen yetifltirme modelimiz, dünya üniversiteleri s›ralamas›nda, ilk 500’e sadece iki üniversitemizin son s›ralarda girmesi, altyap› eksikliklerine ra¤men artt›r›- lan üniversite kontenjanlar›n yaratt›¤› sorunlar, lisans düzeyinde kalabal›k s›n›flar, bu sorunlardan sadece birkaç›d›r. Sorunlar için üretilen çözümlerin de an› kurtarmaya yönelik dar kapsaml› oldu¤u görülmektedir. Sürekli de¤ifltirilen ortaö¤retim seçme s›nav›, üretilen çözümlere örnek olarak verilebilir. S›nav›n türü de¤ifltirilerek, ezbercili¤e ve s›nav merkezli dört seçenek aras›na s›k›flt›r›lm›fl ö¤retime çözüm getirilece¤i düflünülmektedir. Yap›lan sürekli iyilefltirme çabalar› bu çözümlerin ifle yaramad›¤›n›n bir göstergesidir. Üniversitelerdeki kalabal›k s›n›flar, üniversiteler aç›larak ve yeni binalar yap›larak azalt›lmakta fakat bu defa ö¤retim üyesi sorunu ortaya ç›kmaktad›r.
