In tlıis study. 30 Sprague-dawley rats were used to investigate hepatoproteetive effect of quail egg. The rats were divided into three groups n=10 Control. CC14. Çuail egg+CCl4 . The weight of the rats were measured during the study. Blood was obtained for biochemical purposes AST. ALT. LDH. Total Bilirubin. Total Protein. Trigliserit . At the end of the study, the rats were sacrified and the liver was examined histopathologically. While seen in decrease in total protein level. it was recorded an inerease in the other biochemical parameters. In lıistopathological examination. it was not seen proteetive effect on liver toxicity of quail egg. But it was establishcd that severe weight loss due to liver toxicitv was decreased and. body resistance was inereased. In conclusion. it may be ınore useful when the quail egg could be used with together other hepathoproteetive effect agents on liver toxicity
