Ovarian ectopic pregnancy: Case report

Abstract

Ectopic pregnancy is the implantation of a fertilized ovum outside the endometrial cavity. Primary ovarian ectopic pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy. With few exceptions, the suggestive initial diagnosis is confirmed at laparatomy.The final diagnosis is established by histopathology on the basis of the four Spiegelberg's criteria that the pregnancy is limited to the ovary and does not involve the tube. Here we present a case of ovarian ectopic preg-nancy, suspected at the emergent laparotomy and confirmed by pathology, with the review of the literature.

Overin ektopik gebeliği: Olgu sunumu

Öz

Ektopik gebelik, fertilize ovumun endometrial kavite dışında herhangi bir dokuya implante olmasıdır. Primer overyan ektopik gebelik, ektopik gebeliklerin nadir görülen bir şeklidir. Birkaç olgu sunumu dışında operasyon öncesi overin ektopik gebeliği tanısı konulamamıştır. Operasyon sırasında tanıdan şüphelenilmekte ve ayına tanı patoloji tarafından Spiegelberg'in 4 tanısal kriterine uygunluk ile konulmaktadır. Kliniğimize, karın ağrısı, adet rötarı ve pre-şok tablosunda getirilen hastada yapılan acil laparotomide, overin ektopik gebeliği düşü nülmüş, histopatolojik tanısı doğrulanmış ve literatür eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.
