Abstract

Objective: The frequency of ovarian cysts detected in asymptomatic women has increased recently with the common use ofultrascnography. Ovarian cysts were among the most common gynecological causes of hospital admissions with an incidence of%6. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration of simple ovarian cysts asan alternative to surgery. Material and Methods: Fifty-seven women aged 18-75 years (mean 38.6±11.3) with ovarian cyst (40-85 mm) prospectively included to this study. Benign görünümlü over kistlerinde abdominal sonografi ile kist aspirasyonu

Abstract

Amaç: Cerrahiye alternatif olarak, basit ovaryan kistlerin ultrasonografi eşliğinde transabdominal aspirasyonunun etkinliğini araştırmak Materyal ve Metod: Yaşları 18-75 arasında, over kist boyutları 40-85 mm arasında değişen, aspirasyon öncesi ovaryan kistlerin tek taraflı, uniloküle basit kist görünümünde, 3 aydan daha fazla persiste ettiği, serum CA-125 değerlerinin 35 IU/ml altında olduğu saptanan toplam 57 hasta çalışmaya alındı. Ovaryan kistlerin aspirasyonu poliklinik şartlarında, anestezisiz, ultrasonografi eşliğinde transabdominal olarak yapıldı. Hastalar aspirasyon işlemi sonrası 1, 3, 6. aylarda kontrole çağrıldı ve 30 mm 'den büyük ovaryan kist tespiti nüks olarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Ortalama kist çapı 64±14 mm ve aspire edilen kist içeriği miktarı 118±12 mi idi. Çalışmaya dahil edilen 57 hastadan 38 'inde (%66.7) iyileşme görülürken 19 hastada nüks oluştu ve bu hastalara cerrahi tedavi uygulandı. Kist aspirasyon sıvılarının sitolojik inceleme sonuçları; 56 hastada (%98.2) malignite yönünden negatif, 1 hastada (%1.8) ise malignite yönünden şüpheli olarak raporlandı., Sitolojik ve histolojik sonuçlar uyum göstermekteydi. Kistin çapı ve hacmi arttıkça nüks oranlarında da artma saptandı. Sonuçlar: Uygun olgularda basit ovaryan kistlerin ultras onogr afi eşliğinde aspirasyonu cerrahiye alternatif olarak basit, güvenilir ve etkili bir yöntemdir.
