Determination of Yield and Some Quality Components of False Flax [Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz] Genotypes Sown on Different Dates in Autumn

Camelina [Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz] seeds were grown during the fall season on Konya ecological conditions by using 4 different sowing dates (September 20th, September 30th, October 10th, October 20th in 2015) by using 2 different genotypes (population characterized "Russia" originated genotype; certified variety "Suneson" originated from USA), for the aim of determination of efficiency and some agronomical features. Field experiment was realized by 3 replications according to the Split Plots Design in the 2015-2016 vegetation periods.According to the results, statistically significant differences were obtained for blooming period, vegetation period, height of the plant, number of capsules, height of the first capsule, weight of thousand seeds, oil ratio and resistance to winter for the differences amongst sowing dates. For the differences between genotypes; blooming period, vegetation period and height of the plant, number of main branches, number of capsules, number of seeds per capsule, height of the first capsule, weight of thousand seeds, oil ratio and resistance to winter were significant as well.Present study showed that the Russian genotype with 5.45 g/plant yield and 34.92% oil ratio which was sown on 20th of October is outstanding and therefore it is recommended, also Suneson genotype that was sown on 30th of September determined as promising as well.
